One of the most compact and lightest digital camera available today, the Canon Digital IXUS 100 IS weighs in at just 115g (excluding battery) and measures just 87.0 x 54.5 x 18.4mm. Be careful when placing it into your pocket, you might forget it's even there!
Even though the emphasis is on size, the Canon Digital IXUS 100 IS also has great technology packed inside. Featuring Canon's DIGIC 4 processor for excellent response and great image quality, together with a massive 12.1 megapixel sensor for ultra fine images at large resolutions.
The IXUS 100 IS also has a 3x optical zoom and 4x digital zoom for getting in close, plus most of the other standard features like face detection, blink detection and red eye correction for optimised portrait shots, an optical image stabiliser to reduce the effects of hand shake when using the zoom, and a 2.5 inch purecolor II LCD display screen making previewing and navigating the menus clear.
Four colours are available, choose from black, silver, red or gold to personalise your model.
In addition, the Canon Digital IXUS 100 IS comes with its own easy to use battery charger and rechargeable Li-ion battery, which should last you for around 210 photos, or 300 minutes of video playback, depending on your specific settings.
There are three movie modes to choose from, including a high definition setting (HD) 1280 x 720, 30fps, (L)640 x 480, 30fps or (M)320 x 240, 30fps
