The Canon Digital IXUS 95 IS was the first camera from Canon to feature the new DIGIC 4 processor, this means it has faster processing speeds, a more responsive operation, higher image quality and purer colour reproduction than previous models.
Available in four colours including blue, grey, silver and pink, the Canon Digital IXUS 95 IS looks great whatever your preference. It has a modern and sleek design, whilst remaining extremely compact and weighing just 120g (excluding the battery).
10 megapixels gives you plenty of resolution to play with, and unless you're taking poster sized photos, you might actually find you need to turn the resolution down to reduce the file size of your images.
A 3x optical zoom, and optical image stabiliser are built into the lens, which reflects light into the sensitive 1/2.3 inch CCD image sensor. The Digital IXUS 95 IS also has a 4x digital zoom if you want to get really close, but it should be noted that the digital zoom doesn't provide the same image quality has the optical zoom.
The shutter speed featured on the IXUS 90 IS ranges from 1 second to 1/1500 second, depending on the shooting mode selected. Generally slower shutter speeds are used in low light conditions, to optimise the image quality.
There are a couple of movie recording modes available: 640 x 480 (30fps) and 320 x 240 (30fps), which means you can do more than just take still pictures. The battery lasts approximately 260 shots or 360 minutes of video playback.
All the standard features are included, like face detection, red-eye correction, and motion-blur reduction. In addition, there are 17 shooting modes to help you take that perfect picture every time.
