Both waterproof and shockproof, the Canon PowerShot D10 is specifically designed for the outdoor activities market. Capable of going 10m below sea level, being dropped from 1.22m, operating in -10 degrees Celsius, and completely dust proof.
The PowerShot D10 features a 12.1 megapixel sensor for high resolution images, together with a 3x optical zoom for excellent close ups without quality loss. In addition, the D10 is fitted with an optical image stabiliser, perfect for reducing the effects of camera shake, especially in low light or when using the zoom.
Generally when involved in an outdoor activity, you want simple point and shoot operation. The Canon PowerShot D10 has a smart auto mode to make taking images fast and easy. The D10 will detect ambient conditions and select one of 18 preset scene modes to best suit your surroundings.
The D10 also features Canon's DIGIC 4 processor. This gives faster, more responsive operation, together with excellent colour reproduction and noise reduction.
For use underwater, or in low light conditions, the PowerShot D10 features an extra bright 2.5 inch LCD display. Allowing for fast menu navigation and image previewing in any environment. There is also a 2mm Perspex shield protecting the screen.
Face detection technology optimises images around people, automatically adjusting focus, exposure and white balance to best capture portraits. Furthermore, the Canon PowerShot D10 also features a face self timer, only taking the shot when an extra face is detected in the frame.
You can take movies with the Canon PowerShot D10, in either 640 x 480 at 30fps or 320 x 240 at 30fps.
