With a 28mm equivalent wide angle lens, the 10 megapixel Fujifilm FinePix J210 is great for large group photos, sweeping landscapes and architectural scenes. The FinePix J210 also has an impressive 5x optical zoom for distinct close ups without loss of image quality.
The body of the camera looks stylish, designed to be compact and slim. You will hardly notice the FinePix J210 sitting in your pocket at just 22.6mm thick.
There is a 2.7 inch LCD screen, complete with Fuji's micro thumbnail view. This lets you browse 100 images on screen in a 10 x 10 grid, making it easy to look through the shots you've taken.
For photographers that want simple point and shoot operation, the FinePix J210 has automatic scene recognition. This allows the user to avoid complex settings, and lets the J210 do the hard work for you. It will automatically detect the ambient conditions and select one of the 6 preset scenes for optimal image capture. These include: Portrait, Macro, Landscape, Night, Backlit Portrait, Night Portrait.
There is no image stabiliser, but the Fujifilm FinePix J210 does have a picture stabilisation mode which increases the ISO sensitivity to avoid blur in low light conditions, or when using the zoom.
As expected, the FinePix J210 features the latest in face detection technology. Great for portrait and group shots, the J210 will detect up to 10 faces in the shot and automatically adjust the exposure, focus and white balance to optimise the image around those faces. There is post-shot red-eye reduction, however there is no true flash red-eye correction.
