With a large 3 inch intelligent touch panel LCD, the Panasonic Lumix DMC FX500 mixes ergonomics and style with all the latest technology. Including a Ultra wide angle Leica DC lens and 5x optical zoom, it lets you take beautiful wide shots with ease.
Also featured is a 4x digital zoom, and 10.1 megapixels for high resolution images, suitable for poster printing or image cropping.
Another first for the Panasonic Lumix DMC FX500 is the introduction of manual operation. Together with a variety of other advanced functions like Intelligent Auto mode, HD motion picture recording, and HD component output.
Intelligent Auto mode lets you simply point and shoot without worrying about any settings. The DMCFX500 will detect ambient conditions and optimise exposure, white balance, focus, and stabilisation accordingly, to give you perfect pictures.
With red eye correction and face detection, the DMC FX500 makes shooting friends and family a fun experience. It can even recognise certain faces and prioritise its settings for them.
The new touch screen interface comes with a stylus, and lets you quickly navigate around the FX500 menu. However, more basic settings can still be controlled by the joystick control and slider switches mounted to the side of the LCD.
Included is a lithium ion rechargeable battery which will last for around 280 shots. Once depleted, it can be easily recharged using the included AC charger.
