The Sony Cybershot DSC S950 also features Sony's SteadyShot technology. This is a digital image stabiliser which reduces the effects of unwanted hand-shake when taking a shot. Ensuring best quality images every time.
Each Cybershot DSC S950 has a large 2.7 inch LCD screen, which makes menu navigation and photo previewing easy. There are several different shooting modes which have simple on-screen instruction, together with 6 scene modes to optimise the camera for certain environments.
If you enjoy taking photos of friends and family, then the Cybershot DSC S950 features face detection, which detects the people in your shot and automatically adjusts focus and exposure settings to capture the best possible image. Although the Cybershot DSC S950 doesn't have standard red-eye correction, it does have red-eye reduction. This basically means you can reduce the effects of red-eye on the camera by processing the image after it has been taken.
There is a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and AC charger included with each Sony Cybershot S950 purchase. The battery should give you around 330 shots before it needs recharging, depending on the exact shooting mode you're using.
You can also take video with the Cybershot DSC S950, although the performance isn't great, using a 320x240 resolution at 30fps.
